Overview:
Axion is partnering with a leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) in Germany to find an experienced and results-driven Business Development Director. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 3 years in business development within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CDMO sectors, with strong experience in biologics. This role will be crucial in driving growth and forming strategic partnerships to expand the company’s client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute business development strategies to expand the company’s portfolio of clients and partners.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop long-term relationships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, Operations, Sales, Marketing) to ensure alignment of business objectives.
- Negotiate and close contracts with new and existing clients.
- Drive market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the CDMO space.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and achieve strategic growth targets.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Development Director in the pharmaceutical, CDMO, or biotechnology industry.
- Strong experience in biologics, including the development and manufacturing process.
- Proven success in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the pharma/biotech/CDMO space.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex projects.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in German being a plus.
